Tayje Hadwiger continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Austin Adelung was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Despite the loss, Cozad still got an impressive performance from Noah Shoemaker, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Monty Brooks-follmer, who scored eight points.
Cozad struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Amherst pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Cozad, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-3 record this season.
Amherst will be playing in front of their home fans against Gibbon at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cozad, they will head out on the road to face off against Lexington at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Lexington is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
