Glades Day hasn't had much luck against Clewiston recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Gators are taking a road trip to face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Glades Day is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Glades Day beat Pahokee 8-3. The victory continues a trend for the Gators in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won seven in a row.

Dominick Villanueva was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Glades Day: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isaac Perez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February of 2025. Another player making a difference was AJ Mcallister, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Glades Day was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pahokee only posted a batting average of .000.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Clewiston and Lake Placid, and Lake Placid kept the tradition alive. The Tigers came up short against the Dragons on Thursday, falling 9-2.
Rocco Mann was cooking despite his team's loss, earning one run and three stolen bases. Those stolen bases marked the first that he has snagged this season.
Clewiston's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Glades Day, their record now sits at 5-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Glades Day has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 8.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Clewiston struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Glades Day might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Clewiston in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Gators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
