Hoke County is 2-7 against Lee County since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Hoke County Bucks will jump right back in to play the Lee County Yellow Jackets at 2:00 p.m. Hoke County is hoping to put an end to a 13-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
On Thursday, Hoke County took a serious blow against Triton, falling 65-34. Hoke County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-15.
Jaida Hines was Hoke County's leading scorer, having posted nine points.
Shelby Burris held things down on the boards with 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lee County had to suffer through a rough 48-21 loss at the hands of Franklinton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lee County has scored all season.
Hoke County has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Lee County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Hoke County came up short against Lee County in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 53-41. Can Hoke County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
