In other batting news, Drew Gallaher was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Williams, who scored two runs and stole a base.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Midland Trail and Nicholas County, and Nicholas County kept the tradition alive. Midland Trail fell 12-8 to Nicholas County on Wednesday. The Patriots have struggled against the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Kolton Eades made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Greg Cramer, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Midland Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Woodrow Wilson, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
