The Ramona Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Poway Titans, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Ramona managed a 57-52 victory over the Titans.
It was another big night for Chase Newman, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Ramona's points. Another player making a difference was Colin Dillon, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Ramona's win bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Poway, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ramona will square off against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. San Marcos presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bulldogs in California (the Knights are ranked 214th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 598th). As for Poway, they will head out on the road to square off against the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mission Hills is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 15 games.
