Curtis Baptist got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maci Butler out in front who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. Butler has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Nyla Robinson, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Curtis Baptist is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Charleston Collegiate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Curtis Baptist will take on the Raiders at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson Davis Academy is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Charleston Collegiate, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Raiders at 6:00 p.m.
