The White Plains Wildcats lost against the Jacksonville Golden Eagles back in January of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. White Plains fell 50-38 to Jacksonville. White Plains has not had much luck with Jacksonville recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Jacksonville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aaron Nixon, who scored ten points along with four steals. Nixon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaquan Ervin, who scored 12 points.
White Plains has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-4 record this season. As for Jacksonville, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Alexandria the next time they take the court. Jacksonville will host Alexandria at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while White Plains will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
