Diego Montes Goes Supernova in Kennedy Win
Starting off the list is Kennedy's Diego Montes, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Montes rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 148 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 124 rushing yards dating back to last season.
If the past is any indication, Montes could be in store for another big game when he takes on Panorama on Thursday. When Montes last faced the Pythons back in October of 2023, he rushed for 82 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 230 yards and two touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes.

Carlos Herrera Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Van Nuys got the W thanks in part to Carlos Herrera playing the best football he has all season. Herrera threw for 240 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Herrera and Van Nuys will square off against Sylmar at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves had to take a loss when they last met the Spartans, but Herrera had little to do with the loss: he threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes. San Fernando's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Luvon Nolen
San Fernando's three-game losing streak is now nothing but a memory thanks in part to Luvon Nolen. Nolen was dynamite on Friday, rushing for 96 yards and a touchdown.
San Fernando's win bumped their record up to 4-5. Nolen and San Fernando will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Reseda at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.
