The Genesee Wolves's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Atherton 52-50. For Genesee, this counts as revenge for the 62-51 defeat Atherton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Genesee got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Rouse out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Croak, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds.
Genesee's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Atherton, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Genesee will take on International Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Genesee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Atherton, they will be playing at home against Beecher at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
