After a string of three wins, the Rocket City Falcons 's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 53-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tennessee Heat. Rocket City has not had much luck with the recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Rocket City lost, one person who can't be blamed is Elizabeth ( Bess ) Shea. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 23 rebounds. Shea has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was MacKenzie Baker, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Rocket City's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Tennessee Heat, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-16.
Rocket City will head out on the road to face off against the Lightning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tennessee Heat, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blazers at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bluegrass is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
