The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, who took down 28th ranked Menno/Marion, 36-30.
Howard added to the longest winning streak in Cornbelt (9 Man) this week by beating Canistota, 32-24. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Tigers.
6-foot-1 quarterback Shay Jolley of the Hawks is the league leader in passing yards this season with 670. He has also thrown 10 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Dylan Lehr. The Menno/Marion star has 10 catches for 302 yards.
Canistota's Nick Hofer needs only 58 yards against Garretson next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 113 carries Hofer has accumulated 942 yard this year.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Howard takes on Freeman. As it stands, Pat Ruml's team is in first, while the Flyers are in seventh.
Hanson took down Freeman 63-28 last week, the largest margin of any game.
