Meanwhile, Castle View had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lutheran last Tuesday and snuck past 12-10. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Matthew Potter looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Samuel Harry was incredible, going 5-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Boyd Kay, who went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.
Grand Junction now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Castle View, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
