It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Garfield G-Men can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Perry on Friday, falling 42-14. Garfield's defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Garfield lost, one person who can't be blamed is Keegan Sell. Despite the final result, he rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. Sell is absolutely dominating the solo tackle category: he's posted at least six every time he's taken the field this season.
Garfield's loss dropped their record down to 12-1. As for Perry, their win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0.
Garfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Perry will be playing at home against South Range at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Range is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
