Basketball Recap: Lincoln Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Lincoln was the 70-68 winner over Leon when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lincoln Trojans took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leon Lions. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Lincoln still got an impressive performance from Kingsley Mutanga, who posted 20 points and five steals. That's the most steals Mutanga has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Eric Turral, who earned 16 points and six rebounds.

Leon's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from DeKendrick Williams, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 20 points. Williams is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tristen Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Lincoln's loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-6. As for Leon, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-45 win against Chiles on the 9th. As for Leon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-51 victory against Maclay on the 8th.
