After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Montverde Academy, Eustis was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Umatilla Bulldogs as they made off with a 14-4 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by ten runs or more this season.
Carson Roden looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
At the plate, Brooklyn Powhida was a standout: she scored five runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrianna Covino, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5.
Eustis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Umatilla only posted a batting average of .208.
