The Franklin Wildcats will take on the Tracy Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Franklin sitting on three straight wins and Tracy on 20.
Franklin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Enochs a 6-0 shutout. Six seems to be a good number for the Wildcats as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

05/07/25 vs Monterey Trail | 2 |
05/05/25 @ Cosumnes Oaks | 2 |
05/02/25 vs Pleasant Grove | 2 |
The result came thanks to Leilani Garcia's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Micayla Arlotto, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double. Another player making a difference was Madison Ortega, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Tracy came out on top against Gregori on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Bulldogs blew past the Jaguars 10-0. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 games by seven runs or more this season.
Hayden Fell made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Fell was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Tracy let Ava Crivello and Emry Couch run wild. Crivello went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Couch got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Crivello has posted since back in April. Emalee Cargill was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Tracy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive matchups.
Tracy pushed their record up to 27-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Franklin, their record now sits at 17-11-1.
