While losing is never fun, Lincoln College Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while Kansas City East Christian Academy is ranked 77th).
It was another big night for Kevin Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds for Kansas City East Christian Academy. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Kai Lewis was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.
Lincoln College Prep has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
Lincoln College Prep will be playing at home against Southeast at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece. Kansas City East Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Belton at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Belton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Wednesday.
