The Genesee Wolves scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Bendle 70-45. Genesee has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 25 points or more this season.
Genesee found their leader in underclassman Averie Zinn, who dropped a double-double on 50 points and 15 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zinn has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jazmine Ross, who scored 11 points along with eight steals and five rebounds.
Genesee has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Bendle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
Genesee will be playing at home against Beecher at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bendle, they will head out on the road to face off against New Standard Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (New Standard Academy is ranked 595th, while Bendle is ranked 616th).
