It was a good run, but the Walnut Mustangs unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 60-51 to Los Altos. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Walnut of the 55-37 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Walnut's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Corey Fluker III, who scored 16 points along with two blocks. Nathan Yen was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists.
Walnut's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 20-8. As for Los Altos, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.
Walnut does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Los Altos also has no future games currently scheduled.
