Cooper found their leader in underclassman Jequan Brown, who scored 9 points along with 7 steals. Brown hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Kayden Helms, who scored 3 points along with 5 steals.
Cooper's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Detroit, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Cooper is on the road again on Saturday and play against Fouke at 4:30 p.m. on December 9th. Fouke will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Detroit will take on Excel Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
