DeKalb never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Bellmont on Thursday. They blew past the Braves 15-3. The Barons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Brady Vince was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Bo Minehart, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

DeKalb always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bellmont only posted an OBP of .292.

DeKalb pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Bellmont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

DeKalb will be playing at home against Bluffton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bellmont, they will venture away from home to take on Fort Wayne Northrop at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bruins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.9 runs per game on average), something the Braves will no doubt try to take advantage of.
