Baseball Recap: Seneca Has No Trouble Against Travelers Rest

Seneca won the last time they faced Travelers Rest and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Seneca Bobcats were the clear victor by a 13-1 margin over the Travelers Rest Devildogs. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 12 runs or more this season.

William Cutshall made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Rafael Little was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Kade Scruggs was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Seneca kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.

Seneca's record is now 6-1. As for Travelers Rest, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Seneca Bobcats face off against Crescent Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Seneca's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Crescent's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Travelers Rest, they will take on Walhalla at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
