Even though the Owen Warhorses have not done well against the Draughn Wildcats recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Owen came out on top against Draughn by a score of 76-64. The win was nothing new for Owen as they're now sitting on four straight.
It was another big night for Jack Wesley Burk, who scored 24 points. Asante Martin was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven assists and two steals.
Owen's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Draughn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Owen will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Mitchell has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 222 points over their last three contests. As for Draughn, they will head out on the road to challenge Avery County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
