It was a good run, but West Valley finally witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak. On Friday, they lost to Paradise by a decisive 28-13 margin. West Valley was down 28 to nothing at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
sophomore Tyler Harrison went supernova for Paradise as he rushed for 243 yards and three TDs on 19 carries. Harrison has made a name for himself in Paradise's last 12 games, proving himself to be a reliable offensive weapon. Paradise's senior Brenden Moon got in on the action, too, converting a pick in the third quarter into a touchdown.
The defeat dropped the Eagles' record to 11-1. The win for the Bobcats kept them a perfect 12-0.
West Valley's playoff loss brings an end to their season. Paradise will go up against Sutter in continuing playoff action next week. The stakes are high as both of those teams are all in, each fighting to extend its postseason success.
