The Ridgeline Riverhawks will be playing at home against the Skyridge Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ridgeline will be looking to keep their 16-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
In what's become a running theme this season, Ridgeline gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Green Canyon 69-22 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-12.
Ridgeline relied on the efforts of Elise Livingston, who scored 20 points along with three steals, and Emilee Skinner, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Skinner hasn't dropped below 18 points for 14 straight games. Another player making a difference was Macie Brown, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Skyridge didn't have too much trouble with the Cavemen on the road last Friday as they won 59-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Skyridge.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Skyridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cambree Blackham, who scored 16 points along with five steals. Blackham is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shae Toole, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Ridgeline's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Skyridge, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Ridgeline have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Skyridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.2 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
