Basketball Recap: Isaac Vogel's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Oakhill Christian over Fond Du Lac Home School Christian Athletics Association

Oakhill Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 58-41 bruising from the Fond du Lac Home School Christian Athletics Association Disciples. The Royals lost against the Disciples in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-24 score last time.

Oakhill Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Vogel, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. That was a full 34.1% of Oakhill Christian's points, marking the third time in a row Vogel has had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Harman, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

Even though they lost, Oakhill Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Oakhill Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-23. As for Fond du Lac Home School Christian Athletics Association, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Oakhill Christian has already played their next game, a 72-65 victory against Maranatha Baptist on the 25th. Fond du Lac Home School Christian Athletics Association does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
