Warren County has gone a perfect 6-0 against Northampton County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will host the Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. This will be Warren County's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
Warren County's last matchup with Vance Charter could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Eagles lost 11-4 to the Knights. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Northampton County made easy work of KIPP P on Friday and carried off a 17-4 win. The victory continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Pride: they've now won four in a row.
BRAYDEN PARKER made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. PARKER was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. PARKER is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Northampton County got a massive performance out of WILLIAM WHITAKER, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. WHITAKER has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. RONALD JOYNER was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Northampton County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .346 or higher in three consecutive games.
The win got Northampton County back to even at 2-2. As for Warren County, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Everything went Warren County's way against Northampton County when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Warren County made off with a 33-1 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
