Escondido Charter is 8-2 against Tri-City Christian since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers will welcome the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Escondido Charter 2.2, Tri-City Christian 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Tri-City Christian will be up against a hot Escondido Charter squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand Santa Fe Christian a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday.

The result came thanks to Lilly Harper's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Escondido Charter saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zaliyah Jones, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Hailey Gesino also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tri-City Christian). They were the clear victors by a 24-1 margin over Francis Parker on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Kaedyn Ybarra, who fired off eight RBI, two triples, and three runs while going 5-for-5. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Lisak, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Tri-City Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.
Escondido Charter pushed their record up to 19-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Tri-City Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4-1 record this season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Escondido Charter has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tri-City Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Escondido Charter beat Tri-City Christian 5-1 when the teams last played back in April. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
