The Salisbury Hornets stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They blew past Lexington 71-35 on the road. 71 seems to be a good number for Salisbury as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Salisbury got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Makayla Noble out in front who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. Noble is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamyrah Cherry, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Salisbury pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.56 points. As for Lexington, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Salisbury will be playing in front of their home fans against North Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lexington, they will head out on the road to take on Southeast Guilford at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
