After losing to the Tri County Trojans the last time they met, the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer managed a 41-37 win over Tri County on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer found their leader in underclassman Elie Bstandig, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Bstandig hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Lillian Bowen was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Tri County, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer will challenge Falls City on Thursday. Hopefully Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday. Tri County is on the road again on Friday and plays Sterling on February 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Tri County is ranked 192nd, while Sterling is ranked 200th).
