The Bear River Bears will head out to challenge the Ridgeline Riverhawks at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Bear River is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
Bear River barely beat Sky View the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bears put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 15-5 win on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on three straight.

Bear River let Ethan Higgs and Jackson Barfuss run wild. Higgs went 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs, while Barfuss went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Barfuss a new career-high. Boston White was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Bear River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Ridgeline, as they earned their first away win of the season. They blew past Stansbury 7-1 on Wednesday.
Jackson Christensen looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Brady Cook and Jett Jensen did most of the damage at the plate: Cook went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Jensen got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Clark, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Bear River's record is now 11-1. As for Ridgeline, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 6-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Bear River hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Ridgeline struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Bear River couldn't quite finish off Ridgeline in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 and fell 6-4. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
