The Mount Anthony Patriots will face off against the Drury Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Mount Anthony 2.7, Drury 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Monday just wasn't the day for Mount Anthony's offense. They fell just short of South Burlington by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.

Jacoby Dicranian spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, Drury put another one in the bag on Sunday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Monument Mountain by a score of 9-4.
Connor Hinkell made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Hinkell was also solid in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Hinkell wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was JJ Prenguber, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Another was Mason Fierro, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Drury pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mount Anthony, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2-1.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Mount Anthony has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .469. However, it's not like Drury struggles in that department as they've averaged .543. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Mount Anthony's way against Drury in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Mount Anthony made off with an 11-1 win. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
