It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Holy Names Academy can now relate to. They took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roughriders on Monday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Holy Names Academy in their matchups with the Roughriders: they've now lost three in a row.
Emma Curtis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Roosevelt, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Curtis has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ava Dorling, who scored 13 points.
Holy Names Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Roosevelt, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.
Holy Names Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Roosevelt will head out on the road to square off against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeside will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak alive.
