The Fullerton Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Palmer at home to the tune of 62-27. That looming 62-27 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Fullerton yet this season.
Fullerton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaci Maxfield out in front who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. Maxfield is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Horn, who scored 14 points along with seven steals.
Fullerton's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Palmer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Fullerton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Elba at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Elba focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 last Saturday. Palmer will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Burwell on January 23rd. Hopefully Burwell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 38 last Saturday.
