Thunderbird hasn't had much luck against Cactus Shadows recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Thunderbird Titans are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will challenge the Cactus Shadows Falcons at 3:45 p.m. Thunderbird will be strutting in after a victory while Cactus Shadows will be coming in after a defeat.
Thunderbird's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Coronado as Thunderbird made off with an 18-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.
Evan Turner and Alicia Flores made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Turner struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Flores tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Turner gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Turner went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Flores got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple and one RBI. That's the most RBI Turner has posted since back in February of 2024.
