The Miller Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 64-21 loss at the hands of Southern. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Miller in their matchups with Southern: they've now lost four in a row.
Abby Keller and Lillian Anderson certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Keller scored seven points along with two steals, while Anderson scored four points along with 12 rebounds.
Miller dropped their record down to 2-18 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.2 points per game. As for Southern, their victory bumped their record up to 5-16.
Miller didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 43-35 victory vs. Western on the 12th. Southern has also already played their next contest, a 54-27 win against Eastern on the 8th.
