Seminary is 0-9 against Magee since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Seminary Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Magee Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Seminary is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Last Thursday, Seminary came up short against Hazlehurst and fell 42-33. While losing is never fun, Seminary can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Hazlehurst is ranked 123rd).
Magee can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 47-40 victory over Crystal Springs.
It was another big night for Nicole Sandifer, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it 24 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Magee's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyndall Rogers, who scored five points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Seminary bumped their record down to 7-14 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Magee, their victory bumped their record up to 8-16.
Seminary suffered a grim 73-53 defeat to Magee in their previous matchup on January 5th. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Sandifer, who dropped a double-double on 39 points and 11 rebounds. Now that Seminary knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
