Basketball Recap: Warhill Skates Past Bruton with Ease

There's no place like home for Warhill, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They really took it to the Bruton Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-35 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 27 points or more this season.

Warhill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lainey Gray out in front who went 8 for 14 en route to 18 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Gray has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Taleah James, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Warhill pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26 points. As for Bruton, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warhill has already played their next matchup (against Lafayette), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bruton has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Smithfield.
