Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Dixon Rams, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 61-27 loss at the hands of Rosemont. Dixon was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-7.
Dixon's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jordan Sengmany, who picked up 275 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Easton Valenzuela who threw for 408 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Sengmany's longest reception was for an incredible 89 yards.
Michael Cherry had a dynamite game for Rosemont, rushing for 241 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, and also catching a touchdown. Alex "Pit" Rodriguez and his 160 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Rosemont's win.
This is the second loss in a row for Dixon and nudges their season record down to 3-8. As for Rosemont, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Dixon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rosemont will face off against Twelve Bridges at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Twelve Bridges is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
