The Community Christian Warriors can now show off 16 landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They really took it to Dallas Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-12 win on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-3.
Community Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonathan Blackburn led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine steals. Blackburn hasn't dropped below 15 points for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was David Blackburn, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Community Christian and bumps their season record up to 23-5. As for Dallas Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.
Community Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against High Point Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. High Point Academy is coming into the matchup with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Community Christian will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Dallas Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
