Linfield Christian moved up to 725 from 772 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Ambassador. The Lions were able to make the jump by beating California Military Institute 59-3.
Western Christian extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Villanova Prep, 41-8. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Calvary Murrieta's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zach Chesser threw for 166 and two touchdowns and John Singh had 79 yards receiving. On the ground Chesser chipped in 74 yards. Trysten Taylor helped Calvary Murrieta's passing attack out by catching one ball for 55 yards.
Ontario Christian's Craig Bruinsma and Christian Dirksen have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Bruinsma has thrown for 798 yards this season, while Dirksen, a 6-foot-5 receiver, has 14 catches for 343 yards. Aquinas's Romero Flores leads the league in rushing yards with 826.
A big matchup in Ambassador this week will be when the Knights take on the Warriors. Ontario Christian is currently in second, while Calvary Murrieta is in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Chris Stevens's team takes on Brad Schwab's team. The Knights have allowed 62 points this season, while the Warriors have given up 56.
Linfield Christian took down the ROUGH RIDERS 59-3 last week, the largest margin of any game.
