The Mount View Golden Knights fell victim to the Clay County Panthers''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Panthers 73-0. Mount View has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Noah Collins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Clay County, throwing for 190 yards and five touchdowns. Collins is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last six games he's played. Micah Osborne did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 45 receiving yards.
Mount View's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Clay County, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Mount View will look to defend their home field on Friday against WestSide at 7:30 p.m. WestSide is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Clay County, they will head out on the road to face off against Summers County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Summers County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
