The Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders will face off against the Olympian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Mater Dei Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Sweetwater on Monday as they made off with a 22-6 win. The Crusaders have beaten the Red Devils the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Red Devils has come to flipping the script.
Xavier Castro looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He is becoming a predictor of Mater Dei Catholic's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 3-1 (and 5-11 when he doesn't).
