Hope is 2-8 against the Knights since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hope Blue Wave will be playing at home against the Central Knights at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Rhode Island (Hope is ranked 27th, while the Knights are ranked 49th).
Last Friday, Hope didn't have too much trouble with the Eagles on the road as they won 33-16.
Hope's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sa-moni McKay, who scored 11 points. Jorday Johnson was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Central's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Johnston, falling 48-18. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.
Hope is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Central, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-13.
Everything came up roses for Hope against the Knights in their previous matchup on Monday as the team secured a 48-10 win. Does Hope have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
