The DeKalb Tigers will head out on the road to take on the West Nodaway Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for DeKalb and three for West Nodaway.
On Wednesday, DeKalb ended up a good deal behind Rock Port and lost 59-43. While losing is never fun, DeKalb can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 528th, while Rock Port is ranked 226th).
Meanwhile, West Nodaway lost to North Andrew at home by a decisive 64-47 margin back in December of 2023.
DeKalb bumped their record down to 2-10 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for West Nodaway, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
DeKalb might still be hurting after the 80-55 defeat they got from West Nodaway in their previous matchup back in January of 2019. Can DeKalb avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
