Everything went their way against the Central School Pioneers on Friday as the West Side Christian Warriors made off with a 44-24 victory. The score was close at the half, but the Warriors pulled away in the second half with 27 points.
Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lola Doyal, who posted eight points and three steals. Lilly Averett was another key player, putting up seven points and eight rebounds.
The win got West Side Christian back to even at 4-4. As for Central School, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
