It was another big night for Amari George, who went 8-for-14 en route to 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Chloe Cooper, who shot 67% from the field on her way to 13 points.
Meanwhile, Ezekiel Academy strolled past Springwood with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 67-51.
Ezekiel Academy's win came from a few key players Abbeville Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Addi Newell, who earned 15 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season. Samiya Ballard was another key player, going 7-for-10 to rack up 17 points and seven boards.
Abbeville Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Ezekiel Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Abbeville Christian Academy has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 31.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Ezekiel Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
