Dreandre Bruton Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Piedmont got the W thanks in part to DreAndre Bruton playing the best football he has all season. Bruton rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.
The win was the third in a row for Piedmont, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Bruton and Piedmont will challenge Southmoore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Morgan Posts Huge Game in 35-28 Win
Choctaw picked up their fourth consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Mayor Morgan. Stillwater had no answer to Morgan as he rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 42 receiving yards and a touchdown. Morgan is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.
On the season, Morgan has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 36.3 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had seven rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 13.

Jayden Fuston Makes It Two for Piedmont
The second Piedmont player making an appearance here is Jayden Fuston, and for good reason. He rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 118 rushing yards dating back to last season.
On the year, Fuston has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 126.3 rushing yards per game.

Mason Schubert Dazzles in Stillwater Defeat
While Mason Schubert delivered a dominant performance on Thursday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Stillwater. Schubert was unstoppable, throwing for 302 yards and a touchdown while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 50 yards and a touchdown.
With the loss, Stillwater broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. Schubert and Stillwater will head out to take on Putnam City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Ladarren Shoels Leads Putnam City over Grant
Putnam City was led to victory by LaDarren Shoels, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Shoels rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the season, Shoels has run in those 2 touchdowns while averaging 33.2 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 14.67 rushing yards per game.
