St. Helens and Tillamook are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The St. Helens Lions will head out on the road to take on the Tillamook Cheesemakers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for St. Helens and 11 for Tillamook.
Last Friday, St. Helens was the victim of a rough 61-41 loss at the hands of Scappoose.
Meanwhile, Tillamook pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 73-65 to Astoria. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tillamook in their matchups with Astoria: they've now lost nine in a row.
St. Helens has not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Tillamook, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-17.
St. Helens beat Tillamook 57-49 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Helens since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
