Pleasantville hadn't done well against Clayton recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Greyhounds were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Clippers. The Greyhounds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by seven runs or more this season.

The win (which was Pleasantville's third in a row) raised their record to 5-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Clayton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasantville will face off against St. Joseph at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
